Book earings
Small books that are made in the same way as their larger relatives.
For these little books I get to use the edges of lovely papers and other small pieces left over from cutting. Their production is somehow even more meditative and relaxing than normal bookbinding.
Choose clip or hook attachement, in both cases all the metal parts are all 316 surgical steel and are therefore suitable for even the most sensitive ears.
The books are 18 mm high, 15 mm wide and roughly 6 mm thick. They weigh about 1 g each. Measured with the hook, the height of the earring is about 5 cm.
Blank or white pages: The pages of the book are blank without text
Hamlet: The pages of the book are recycled from Shakespeare's Finnish version of Hamlet.
Not the Dark That Kills You: The pages of the book are recycled from the English version of Dare Talvitie's Not the Dark That Kills You.
