I am Suvi Miri Simey, the entrepreneur behind Kirjaverstas Kisu. I have been doing bookbinding only since the beginning of 2024, but t went head over heels from the begging and here I am now!

Originally, I was looking for things I could do with the test pieces of scarves I had woven on looms and other small leftover materials, and it occurred to me that I could put it on the cover of a notebook. So I signed up for the first course I came across and set off on an exploration journey into the world of bookbinding.

Very soon I noticed that certain materials were quite scarce, I had to order them one here and another there, and often even extend my search abroad. When I was ordering materials anyway, the idea of a company selling bookbinding materials and supplies slowly began to take shape.

When I was offered the opportunity to continue the work of a retiring entrepreneur and buy her stock, the idea began to turn into reality.

I strive to develop my selection as comprehensive as possible and listen to the needs of bookbinders and binding enthusiasts. So it's worth sending me a message with a low threshold. Even if something is not found in my online store, it doesn't mean that it could not be there in the future.
